History

Caring Adoptions was founded as Caring Choices, Inc. by social worker and humanitarian Jo Ann Caldwell in 1990. "Aunt Jo" dedicated her life to serving parents and children, with over 35 years in adoption and hundreds of domestic placements.

Following her passing in 1992, Patricia Bridges, Susan Waindel, and Jody Vick assumed leadership, ensuring the mission continued. By 1993, the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services granted Caring Adoptions a non-expiring license as a child-placing agency.

Stephanie Warren became the Executive Director of Caring Adoptions in 2015 and Patricia Bridges continued to be active with the agency. Pat Bridges passed away on February 25, 2024 and Stephanie made a commitment to her to continue her legacy of Caring Adoptions.

Over the years, we have expanded our reach, improving our facilities and services. Today, we continue to focus on domestic infant adoption, providing compassionate and ethical adoption services nationwide.

Caring Adoptions, a licensed 501(c)(3) adoption agency in Houston, TX, has been creating families since 1991. We support birthmothers and adoptive parents across Texas and the U.S. with expert guidance and compassionate care.
